The box doesn't have a age limit on it, I would put it at around 20!!!! The directions are not well marked, and the step by step is so small I had to have a magnifier to read them. Some parts fit 2 ways. The coal bin is upside down [ didn't know it until I got farther into the build, and had to work around this mistake!!! ]. To build you will need a steel plate an a lot of magnets, Had to go out to the shop an get my welding magnet squares to build the dumping shed, took a total of 10 to get it square [ see pic ].
