^ That is Chessie. He hitched a ride home with me in my trucks engine compartment on a hot summer day. He is still kicking it.

I found her on a hot summers morning. She was about 4 or 5 weeks old when I found her. Her eyes had been opened just a day or so, they still had the matted stuff in and around her eyes. I was switching out cars at stones river yard on the n&e and I heard the small little meows. I looked everywhere trying to find it. She didn't have a good handle on walking yet, I looked down and saw a little black fur ball climbing on my boot. I figured the mother was moving the kittens and she follwed and couldnt keep up, or the mother got scared and dropped her. I carried the cat in one hand while I finished switching. When we left the yard, called the wife to come get the cat, and she's still here to this day. We named chessie because we found her on the railroad. less
