  • 2010 iHobby Expo

    (Chicago, IL) – If you live in the Chicago area and want to see the latest and greatest in the model train and hobby industry, we highly recommend the 2010 International iHobby Expo.

    The 26th Annual International Hobby Expo, held October 21-24, 2010, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL is not to be missed. Open to the public October 23 and 24, the iHobby Expo is a great event catered toward families.

    Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., admission for the show is $10 for adults, free for children ages 10 and under, $8 for Senior 65 and older, and free for anyone wearing a scout uniform.

    Train and Model train fans can browse the latest and greatest from companies such as Walthers®, Woodland Scenics®, Micro-Trains Line Co.®, Atlas Model Railroad Co., Inc., Evergreen Scale Models, JMD Plastics, Caboose Industries, HobbyTyme Distributors Inc., The Coach Yard, Kato, Alumilite Corporation, Soundtraxx, Peco Streamline, Testors®, Horizon Hobby, Athearn®, and Piko Model Trains and Accessories.

    Spend the day browsing new products, learning new weathering techniques, acquiring the newest tools for scratch building, and making this year’s Christmas list for your layout and accompanying accessories.

    View the layouts of local clubs of all different scales, enter to win raffle prizes, and network with experts on exploring and expanding your hobby.

    Additionally, the exposition provides plenty of opportunities for children with Thomas and Friends® rides, toys, and exhibits; Lego® play areas; Pinewood Derby® Races, and a Make & Take station for model railroads fans.
