David Beale: There is a much larger N group I did not notice when I created this group. Should I delete this group and join the pre-existing one? Is there value in two groups?

It was suggested that rather than delete the group it could be changed to Canadian N gaugers. For some this may not suit their interest and that is fine, but it does give the group a reason to continue without being redundant

David Beale: How about sharing a picture of you N Scale layout?
So far inventoried 113 frieght cars (getting maybe half done my frieghts). Well I've catalogued them in the database. It actually takes longer to print the labels for their boxes and put the numbers onto the models - in some cases there is just no inconspicious place on an N scale car. My wife says she has a big bag of small tags on a sting like they use in stores - I"ll use those for the hard to label cars. I print up a tiny number (8 point) and stick it onto the bottom of the car, or the inside of a boxcar.

Anyway thought I'd put a picture of my layout to have a least one picture here. It is an old photo - my layout needs a little work before it is camera ready.

GOOD MORNING ALL PLEASE READ ........
This is a letter sent to my email from the design group from yahoo.....
or those who follow Carl Arendt's Small Layout Scrapbook and Micro
Layout Design Gallery, there is some sad news to pass on. Carl is
terminally ill in hospice care and is not expected to live very long.
His writings and designs have been an inspiration to many over many
years. I'm sure our thoughts are with him and his family.

Does anyone have a copy of the March 2001 issue of N scale Magazine? I need some info from it. It is the one issue I am missing from that year.
Resistance has proven futile.
I'm contemplating going DCC.
I had looked at it years ago, but then the price was too much - $500+ when I checked it out at train shows. I live in northern Canada and have never played with a DCC system - seen them o
