We had our groups' second meetup this past Sunday. Four folks showed up with modules (including me). I was madly trying to lay in my mainline track before everyone got there, but didn't make it. All the modules connected to each other just fine and the butt joint method for the tracks at the module ends was really slick.
A couple of our modules violated the code 55 specification, but the trains didn't seem to notice. Not all the modules were complete electrically, and none of them had scenery, but it was an encouraging proof that what this far-flung group was building would work together.
We had Andy from Lincoln City, Or, Bert from Port Orchard, WA, Mark and Eric from Oysterville, WA and Astoria OR. Doug and myself are from Vancouver. So that is a draw from about a 150 mile radius! Our next get together is planned for October 6th.
