he Green B ay & Western had a number of cars on their roster that they picked up from the Pro v i dence & . Worcester Rai l road. The number series for these cars was 80008 1 99 . They were on the roster from J 9 871 99 2 . S o m e of the c a r s h ad the P & W heralds and lettering painted out. O n some o f the other cars, The BG&W j ust changed the reporting marks. The first car I d id was the G B & W n u m ber 8089. Th i s i s an older pre painted older B ev-Bel car. I j ust used some Flog u i l Sao Line red and pai nted out the herald on the l eft and the letteri ng on the right. I u sed some leftover decals from an old H erald King blue GB&W box car set for the letters and numbers. The second car I did was G B & W n u m b e r 8 1 3 6 . I s tarted w i t h an u ndecorated M D C 50-foot FMC X-post s i ngl e-door box car n u mber 1 950. I p ainted the car with the same Flogui l Sao Line red and then painted the door using reefer white. I u sed M i c roscale decal set number 87-32 1 for this car. It is an assorted box car set. Another M i croscale set that can be llsed for this car is number 87-224. Herald K i n g also made set number B -940 for this car as wel l . I added a l i ttle black to the red and painted the area where the GBW l etters and n umbers go. J u sed the same l etters and n u mbers from the Herald King set that I u sed on n u m ber 8089. The o n l y difference i s that I c ut the letters and numbers apart to make them l ook l i ke the stenc i l type style that was used on the prototype. This car i s now avail able from M DC ( 1 955) already pai nted for the RMJ Providence & Worcester.
