S M 2144, series 2001-2155, built in June 1979. St. Marys Railroad also ordered cars with 10-foot plug doors. Light blue lettering on a yellow car is not the easiest to read, and by the '90s most of the lettering was unreadable. -D. HS 5387, ex-GRN 8000-8049, built in November 1976. South Carolina shortline Greenville & Northern acquired 50 ACF cars. Many of the former"shortline" cars are now owned by GE Credit. GE also owns the former Hartford & Slocomb, now simply the HS Railway, and has restenciled many of their box cars with "HS" reporting marks. -D. ASAB 7149, series 7 100-7149, built in 1977. The once-bright green and yellow of this Bay Line box has faded to olive and mustard. Doors are frequent casualties, so it's not uncommon for old IPD box cars to sport new doors. -D. Scott Chatfield photo, West Colton, California, October 1998 HO Scale Decals: H erald King 6-802
WC 49707, ex-MNS 49700-49724, built in April 1978.
