Body Modifications
The first th i ng I d i d was to remove the a i r reservoir tanks from the sides o f the fue l tank. I covered u p the holes b y cutting out a piece of .020-inch styrene to cover over each side of the fue l tank. This gave me a smooth, c lean-looking fuel tank. I then removed the fuel fil lers and repl aced them w it h Details West fuel fil lers. The other big modification was sanding off the dynamic brake b lowers on the top of the long hood. With carefu l fil i ng and sandi ng, that job was done. I then used some green Squadron putty to fi l l i n t h e gri l l e openings along t h e top edges of the long hood. At this t i me I pul led off the horns and fil led the hole where the horns were w i t h some more putty. I relocated the horns to the leading edge of the cab and replaced them with horns fro m Deta i ls West. After some deli cate sanding , those areas were done. I t hen added the strobe l i ght base, firecracker radio antenna, and a l l -weather w i ndows to the cab. I i nstal led grabirons where there was no i n terfere nce with decals. I also i n stal led the snowplow and M U hoses at t h i s t i me.

Paint and Decals
I u sed Pactra RIC Acryl B a s i c Reel for the G B &W reel. I then sprayed the
handra i l s anel stanchions u s i n g Pactra RIC Acryl B asic W h i te. This type of paint is designed for the Lexan bodies of rad io contro l led race cars and seems to stick to the p l astic that the handra i l s are made
