The sliding and plug-door versions of the single-door cars built by General American/Evans. More of these cars appeared in the April 1 990 and September 1 990 issues.
The plug-door cars often included ad vertising slogans for their railroads. This C&NW car was purchased, not leased, judging by the reporting marks. It was part of series 50600-50749. T he Detai ls West 800-series H O scale cars are close for the plug-door cars, but the door is a scale 2 feet too wide. New scale and Atlas a 40-foot car in 0 scale that can be kit-converted into a 50-foot car as shown in the June 1 990 issue. The roof overhang, side panel detai l s and door details are incorrect for the General American/Evans cars, however.
