A Tribute To The Erie Western Railroad Co. (ERES)
This is a tribute to a railroad few know about. The Erie Western (reporting marks ERES) Railroad was a company that unsucessfully tried to revive the the Indiana section of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad Company during the late 70's after Conrail had excluded it from it's long range plans. Today, hardly any of the EL ROW is still surviving in Indiana. Some of the ROW has been reclaimed by farmers, some turned into bike paths, others have had whole subdivisions built right on top of where the tracks were. I just wish I could have seen it in it's hayday. Thanks for watching.
