NS 1067 and NS 8104, Norfolk Southern Heritage Engines on 7-14-2012

Posted by sam achterberg
Two of the new Norfolk Southern Heritage engines run west along foreign rails past Leland, Illinois. The NS 1067, an EMD SD70ACe is the leader while NS 8104 is in the second slot of an empty coal train westbound on the BNSF Mendota subdivision. Many thanks to Jason for the timely tip. And the IlliniRail list members. I rushed out of the house and got in front of it with about 20 minutes to spare. So the rumor that the new NS Heritage units would be kept east was quickly put to rest. Send us more! Photo: http://flic.kr/p/cx3f1b
