Good stuff Donald. Looks like things are progressing just fine. You made mention of using ceiling tile to represent a slate wall. How thick would the tile be. Do you just break it and place it or what is the procedure. It looks like it may be a good trick.

You break off several pieces and stack them like slate rock. I did mine atop a extruded foam simulated wall, I just broke the pieces off then stacked them making sure the back parts were even so it would sit against the wall evenly, the front part or the part that shows, i made sure the surfaces were uneven, but not protruding so far out that it would like it was layed that way. I glued all my pieces from bottom up making sure the appearance was that of a layerd slate rock wall. The next and I suppose last step is to paint them properly. I also saw a video on that by using 3 colors very sparingly, all latex flats, brown, very light yellow and white. Im going to try the idea in a couple weeks and will post the results. less

I look forward to the results. I think I have just the place for such a wall. Thanks.

You are more than welcome Ian, I have stole a couple ideas from your layouts as well, especially the strips of cardboard for the tunnel.
